August took us all the way to Sydney and back home to Tasmania, and it finished with a new product made for your evenings. Here's what happened, and why each of it mattered to us.

We Were Part of the Global Impact Summit
This month we joined the Global Impact Summit in Sydney as Official Speaker Wellness Partner, and as a Community and Ecosystem Partner, caring for the people working hard to make a difference.
The brief was a simple one. A summit is a long day of standing, talking and thinking, and the people doing that work all day deserve to feel looked after while they do it. So we set up a stand, brought the range, and made sure anybody who needed a bit of relief could get it. Kenny the Kunzea Koala came along too, and was, as usual, more popular than any of us.
It was a nice reminder of what we try to do every day as a family-owned, Certified B Corporation: work with native Australian botanicals, source them the right way, and give one percent of every sale back through our 1% for the Planet membership.
Standing in a room alongside organisations doing serious work on climate, community and equity is a useful check. Plenty of businesses talk about impact. Spending a day with people who actually measure theirs is a good way to keep yourself honest.
We Launched the Sleep Support Roll On
This month we introduced our Sleep Support Roll On. It's a gentle blend of Kunzea, magnesium, lavender and chamomile, made to support relaxation and restful sleep.
It's the first thing we've made specifically for the end of the day rather than for pain. The aroma is light and floral rather than medicinal, which matters more than it sounds. If a bedtime product smells like a chemist, it tends to sit in the drawer unused, and this one doesn't. The roll on format means it goes on wrists, temples or the back of the neck without a fuss, and without needing to wash your hands afterwards.

Five Years With Sustainability Tracker
August also marked Zea's fifth year as a member of Sustainability Tracker, a world-first platform that brings a brand's sustainability information, initiatives, certifications and evidence together in one place.
The reason we rate it is that it doesn't accept claims on trust. Anybody can say they're sustainable. The platform asks for the evidence behind each claim and publishes it where customers can read it themselves, which is a much harder standard than a logo on a label.

Back Down to the Island
It's fantastic to see how much it's grown over the last 10 years as we've been running the business, and seeing it all flourishing so well down on the island.
The Kunzea in every product we make is wild-harvested, not farmed. That means nobody plants it, nobody irrigates it, and nobody can decide to make more of it next season. It grows where it grows, in the scrub of north-east Tasmania and the Bass Strait islands, and the harvest works around the plant rather than the other way round.
Ten years into the business, seeing it thriving out there is the part that doesn't get old. It's also the part that keeps us honest about supply: we can't scale Kunzea on demand, so we plan around what the country can actually give.

This Month's Customer Story
